People of Birmingham—actually, the entire state—are proud of UAB. Our groundbreaking discoveries and innovations make national and international headlines. And when you see a UAB Blazer on TV, you hold your head just a little bit higher. So why not pass that pride and passion on to your kids from the day they are born? With our new Growing Up Green & Gold Program, you can do just that. Here’s how it works.

First, pay a one-time $25 enrollment fee for your child or grandchild. Then, we will send them a special surprise for milestones until they are 16. Throughout the years, we’ll even invite them to a few UAB events where they just might get to mingle with some of those movers and shakers who are having such an impact on the world.

Finally, when it comes time for them to choose a college, they’ll have UAB as a starting point for their search. And as for you, well, if you ever turn on the TV and see your kid making headlines for their own discovery or innovation, let’s just say you can take credit for instilling that UAB passion from day one.

Growing Up Green & Gold is presented by Legacy Credit Union and provides an engagement opportunity that will excite children and grandchildren of alumni about their future at UAB through many of life's important milestones. From the time they are born until they turn 16, the NAS will help celebrate these achievements with Blazer birthday cards, biennial gifts throughout childhood, and invitation to UAB events.

*The Growing Up Green and Gold Program is open to children and grandchildren of UAB alumni or fans. Children may be enrolled at any age from birth to 16 years old.
